Stutteri Dyhre

Welcome

Stutteri Dyhre is a professional stud, located in the southwestern part of Denmark, close to the National Park Tøndermarsken.

We care deeply about a safe and loving environment for the horses, especially in their first years. We have a dedicated focus on the feed, that the horses receive here with us. We know from ourselves what wonders correct nutrition can do for well-being and results.

Trine, a former professional showjumper, has always had horses as a part of her life as growing up her parents were also breeding horses, and from there is were the passion grew.

A high interest and passion for the horses meant I had a number of years as a professional before an unfortunate traffic accident put an end to my professional riding career.

However this didn’t stop my passion. It gave me a new drive.

I wanted to see the horses thrive from day one, which in turn has meant focusing on things such as the day to day diet to daily handling.

With the main focus being on how we can give them the best possible start ensuring they are strong in both mind and body for the upcoming careers they come to in later years.

The horses at Stutteri Dyhre

At the stud, each year we get between 10 and 20 foals.

We ourselves have a number of mares that we solely own but also have many mares in partnership with some of the world’s best riders.

Here at Stutteri Dyhre we also have mares and young horses on site, which are owned by some of the best jumping and dressage riders from across the world.

Each year we have foals out of several mares who them theirselves have competed in top sport but due to retirement come to us to have foals during their retirement from the sport.

Here at Stutteri Dyhre we make it a high priority that the horses and youngsters go out in large herds of the same age this gives them so much in respect of learning from one another but also that there is a nice harmony within the herd. However on many occasions it has been seen that if there is one that is a little too “smart” it is then “kicked out” of the herd until it is seen to calmed before being accepted back into the herd. We feel this is important part of horse growing up as teaches them an element of respect between themselves.
